These photos were taken at the Childgrove Country Dancers Contra Old-Time Barn Dance at Monday Club, Sunday, Nov 1 evening. I used the continuous shooting drive mode (max. 3 shots per sec.), iso 1600, aperature priotity mode with aperature opened full. The light was not real bright so with the aperature opened to maximum of f/4 to f/5 the shutter speed was around 1/15 to 1/25 and fast motion is blurred.

These are black & white versions of some macro photos using photoshop. They are all simple conversions to black & white except for the photo of the big leaf (the vertically oriented photo) which was altered with the level adjustment tool after converting to black & white.

These photos were taken at Missouri Botanical Gardens, Wednesday, Oct 21 late afternoon. I used a 18-55mm zoom lens at the highest focal length focused at the closest distance, auto white balance, aperature priority mode, and iso 800.

These photos were taken using artificial lighting from incandescent light bulbs: a 200 watt key light, a 100 watt fill light, and a 100 watt backlight. I used aperture priority mode, tungsten white balance setting, iso 800 setting, with aperature at f5.6 to f7.1 and shutter speed falling around 1/25 to 1/125 sec.

These photos were taken at Meramec Humanities Building, Saturday, Oct 3 late afternoon/early evening. I used auto white balance, aperature priotity mode (generally trying to get the greatest depth of field), and iso 200 to 800. (A couple of photos at the beginning of the album were taken at the in-class exercise.)

These photos were taken at Schroeder Park Saturday, Sept. 28. The first 20 or so were taken before a rain shower, and last 15 or so were taken half an hour later after the shower. I used auto white balance, aperature priority mode (generally trying to get the deepest depth of field), and iso from 100 to 400.

Assignment 2 - Portraits of Sean taken indoors and outdoors at varying ISO and zoom focal length. Used aperture priority mode with large aperture for small depth of field. Used fluorescent white balance setting for indoor shots and shade white balance setting for outdoor shots.
